I type bad, and if Caps Lock is enabled I type even worse. Here is a trick to disable it (Caps Lock, not my bad typing unfortunately :-).
At annoyances.org, I found this discussion on how to disable it. The attached file is a shortcut to add information into the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout. It adds a binary value named Scancode Map, and the data below. I confirm that it works in Windows XP, but it should work in other Windows versions too.
0000 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0008 02 00 00 00 2A 00 3A 00
0010 00 00 00 00
Be advised that this makes Caps Lock disabled for all users on the PC. If you don't want to hack the registry, you can download CapsUnlock, which is a utility that can be started when you login, and have some interesting settings.
